American Craft Week
American Craft Week is celebrated across the US. Artists, studios, museums and galleries open for visitors and have special events. This year ACW is October 2-11.
Due to the Covid19 virus I won’t be able to open my studio to visitors this year. Sign up for my email announcements to hear when we’ll be able to open our studios to visitors again. (I send about one a month.)
My studio is part of a larger arts group, Studio Channel Islands, made up of about 40 artists who work in a variety of different mediums. When we are able to have open studios again, you can visit with all the artists on First Saturday Open Studio, and stop in to the Blackboard Gallery to see the current exhibits. Lots to see!!
A Time to Gather
See an exhibit of my newest table runners online now and in the Member’s Gallery at Studio Channel Islands October 1 through November 25, 2020.
You can also see all my available rugs, table runners and tapestries on the shop page. Free shipping in the US! Email if you have any questions or if you want to talk about a custom piece.

Art Therapy in the Time of Covid19
Art Therapy in the Time of Covid19
Art Therapy in the Time of Covid19 is an online exhibit hosted by American Craft Week. Each year American Craft Week (ACW) recognizes exceptional creative work in their annual Artist’s Contest. I’m honored that ACW chose my rug Horizon Heart to be part of this years exhibit.
Art Therapy in the Time of Covid19 is the perfect title! Being able to design and weave this rug when the pandemic struck was therapeutic. Weaving a rug is always a stress reliever because beating in the fiber takes some energy. Weaving this design kept my mind on better days ahead.

A Time to Gather
Join me for “A Time to Gather,” a new collection of table runners on exhibit in the Member’s Gallery at Studio Channel Islands October 1 through December 19, 2020 and right here online!
During this stressful year, “A Time to Gather” focuses on how we come together over a meal and set our tables with care and love to share time with each other. Even if it’s a small gathering, it’s special.
I’ve got new Life Lines series table runners and a couple new designs I wove just for the exhibit. It’s always fun to come up with new color combinations and designs to show you! I also have some mini runners and coasters that are sweet small pieces you can use in so many places to add a pop of color.
I’ll also add a virtual walk through the gallery soon! All the runners are for sale. Free shipping in the US! Please email me if you have any questions. I hope you enjoy the runners as much as I enjoyed weaving them for you!

Another Kind of Favorite
Art, weaving and fiber are my favorite subjects to learn about so naturally I gravitate to books. Art, craft and photography books – coffee table books and informational books.
My husband and fellow artist, Scott, recently gave me Couples in Art, a depiction of love through the ages culled from the collection of one of the world’s most famous museums for Valentine’s Day. Some artworks we love and have seen in person and many we didn’t know existed. It’s on the coffee table now and I’ll be flipping through it for a while.
